Winter city break

                                                                                                 location: Belgrade
                                                                                                 place: Belgrade Art Hotel (BAH)
                                                                                                 make up: Dragana Kostic
                                                                                                 ph. Dragana Paramentic and me

Weekend before a NY's Eve Jelena and I checked into the Belgrade Art Hotel for a stylish staycation!
It was a perfect getaway without huge driving distance or flights and it was reserved for PJ's, magazines and pastries without talking about work or anything related to it. Only waffles, macarons and the best cremeschnitte in town! Okay, champagne was allowed too! ;)
The hotel provided a delicious departure from our everyday realities and the Art Suite was our ideal escape!
Should I mention how much I loved the spacious bathroom and a large terrace with seating, overlooking the main street in Belgrade? Centrally located with quiet and peaceful atmosphere,oh yes, it's possible!
What better way to clear our minds before starting a plans for a 2015!?

Huge thanks to Dragana for capturing those silly lazy moments and the other Dragana for making us pretty! ;)

p.s. if you are planing a trip to Belgrade, or just want to have relaxing weekend like we did, BAH is offering a special Winter city package, so be sure to check it!

Frankfurt am Main / Roomers

                                                                                                    location: Frankfurt an Main,
                                                                                                    hotel: Roomers,
                                                                                                    ph. me (and Jelena)

After we tested New Corsa, Jelena and I extended our trip so we can easily explore some other parts of Frankfurt and that's how we ended up at the Roomers hotel!
We were welcomed by timeless charm and modern architecture of  this elegantly futuristic six-story hotel which has been transformed by Grübel architects from an office building into a cozy space full of swirling dark colors.

Highlights
- right in the heart of Frankfurt am Main, just a few minutes walk from the Main river and the train station
- contradictory style of indulgent minimalism (check out the do not disturb signs and feel those sexy vibes ;))
- the award-winning Bar is the best meeting point and the place to see and be seen in town (love the music and drinks)
- 24h menu are available to consume in the bar, in the lobby area or in the comfort of your own room
- the spa on the 6th floor
- the front door of interior designer Oana Rosen's masterpiece ( like the entrance of an exclusive nightclub, no matter what time of day it is)
- The Sky Lounge with Frankfurt’s skyline view
- complimentary WiFi

Food and drinks
- as a huge fan of hotel's breakfast I was delighted with the one we had at the Roomers (great range of products), even if you are not staying at the hotel be sure to visit their restaurant and try something from their menu
- don't skip the chance to try perfectly mixed cocktails from the bar (the one with fresh raspberries is really nice)

People
- friendly and helpful staff
- guests: every kind of groups (single, couples, businessman, family, etc.), perfect for weekend getaways and couples.

Price
You can check the rates directly on the Roomers website or at Designhotels.com cause they are member of it.

Experience
It's cozy and dark.
It's sexy and sophisticated.
It will awake your fantasies so indulge yourself into a Roomers luxury and enjoy.

p.s. thank you Pamela for everything!

Vienna / Hotel Topazz

                                                                                                 location: Vienna
                                                                                                 hotel: Topazz
                                                                                                 ph. me

My third stop in Vienna was at the Hotel Topazz where I spent a few wonderful days. From the minute I saw the building on the internet I knew that this will by the ending station for my trip. Located in the 1st district of Vienna, Hotel Topazz is surrounded by more than sixty museums, cathedrals, churches, luxury shopping, dining and famous coffeehouses. Brown mosaic facade, which absorbs and reflects the natural light, ensures that this building is a real eye-catcher, so I needed to check it!

Highlights
- ideal city center location, just a few steps from St. Stephen's Cathedral
- Vienna’s first green upscale hotel (low-energy usage, locally sourced food and the use of green building materials )
-  the hotel’s dark façade is dotted with large oval windows (designed by award-winning Viennese architects BWM Architekten &Partner and Architekt DI Michael Manzenreiter)
- each of the oval windows has a divan bed integrated into the windowsill where you can relax
- guestrooms feature soft furnishings in earthy shades, wooden paneling and lush curtains (one-of-a-kind lighting fixtures, fauteuils and fabrics are inspired by early 20th century Viennese architects, artists and designers
- super comfy bed with premium bedding
- padded doors for absolute discretion ;)
- the spacious bathrooms are inspired by luxurious 1930s style and are made of chrome, nickel, marble and fine china (you have inner city view while you having a shower, so coool)
- great cosmetic products ( forgot the name but I will update it soon as I remember)
- every guest is a VIP in the Privileged Club ( which means: free minibar, free high speed WiFi, iPad and Nespresso machine on request, selection of hot and cold beverages at Salon from 16 to 17:30h etc)
- the hotel's cozy and inspiring Salon re-creates the easy-going yet luxurious vibe of a private turn-of-the-century Viennese house
- very silent hotel, perfect for relaxation
- across the street, at sister property Hotel Lamée, guests have access to Bloom – the hotel's café, bar (place to be), and bistro.

Food and drinks
- simple breakfast concept with cold Buffett and cooked meals
- seasonal, regional and home made products (try croissant with raspberry jam)
- Salon is at -1 floor so you can enjoy the high ceiling view
- unlimited glass of wine ;)

People
- instead of a reception in its classic way the hotel provides kind of a butler service. You will have a warm welcome and the staff will make your stay even more enjoyable
- as I already mentioned it above, the hotel is very silent and calm and if you are not in the mood to chat or hang out you will not see even one person, and yes believe me, it's possible to experience even that despite the fact that you are at the hotel full of people. Or I was getting up too early. ;)
- anyway, the staff will fulfill all your requests but they will not bother you with tons of information or too much of kindness which can become fake at some point.

Price
You can check the rates directly on the Hotel Topazz website or at Designhotels.com cause they are member of it.

Experience
The architectural concept of the first LENIKUS Designhotel stands for Vienna as an open-minded metropolis. The architecture of the hotel includes the past, present and future of European art and culture and reflects it.
The Topazz is a place for those who wants to relax, who likes simplicity and glamour, but it's also a great place for business travelers. Guests, who are seeking the comfort of a 4+star hotel and at the same time enjoying the intimacy of a small house, will feel comfortable here and that's what I really liked about this hotel.
Intimacy.

p.s. thank you Bettina for everything!
