Nosey Posey & Fun Fashion Friday Link Up

Since I bought three things with Lilly Pulitzer's Nosey Posey print, I decided, hey what the heck … let's throw it all on at once and see what happens.

Nosey Posey Lilly Putlizer print, spring look, spring 2015 style trends, Target style

Though I love each piece separately, I probably won't regularly wear all three together.  It's a little too matchy matchy for me, but it looked cuter than I thought it would.  And I felt very bright and spring-y!

Lilly Pultizer for Target review, Nosey Posey print

Outfit details & Shopping Ideas:

Top, scarf & flip flops - Lilly Pulitzer for Target
Bag - Michael Kors
Jeans - Old Navy
Sunnies - Readers.com Bifocal sunglasses
Jewelry - Tilly's & J. Crew

Nosey Posey, Lilly for Target, Target style, MK bag, spring 2015

Here's a few other bright & spring-y chicks!

Sabina of Ocean Blue Style is looking so chic in her hot pink ensemble and black and white moto coat.

Loving Natalia of In the Writer's Closet in this bright poppy red with that stylish leopard pencil skirt.

Maricel of My Closet Catalogue looks adorable and ready for springtime fun in her aqua and coral.

Leopard

Jumpsuit: Very. Shoes: Cesare Paciotti. Jacket: Balenciaga.

You might think that a leopard print jumpsuit would be too much leopard and you'd be wrong! I think the flats and biker jacket help to keep this look casual and stop it from becoming completely obnoxious. Slightly obnoxious is fine ;)

                                                                                                 watch: daniel wellington
                                                                                                 ph. Masa

After last week's XYZ Premium Fashion Store powered by Visa presentation of SS15 collections, I teamed up with them to show you one "from runway to real life" look! I decided to try this outfit with denim dungarees but instead of high heels I picked slip-on shoes and cross body bag for more casual-cool vibes!
So, is it possible to wear runway looks? Absolutely! There’s no doubt about it, just recreate your own version and you will see!

One Dress, Three Ways

It's no secret that I'm a fan of Target/designer collaborations, so when I saw this Issac Mizrahi for Target dress at the flea market in my size and in perfect condition, I grabbed it.  And can I just add it cost less than my latte that day?

I thought it would be fun to try to style it for a party, for work, and for the weekend, so this is what I came up with.

Party look:

Outfit Details & Shopping Ideas

Red pumps - BCBG Paris
Snakeskin clutch - thrifted vintage
Rhinestone bracelet - vintage (Grandma's)

For work:

Outfit Details & Shopping Ideas

Practical heels - Franco Sarto  (Ross)
Shop comfortable pumps at Zappos
Handbag - thrifted vintage
Cropped blazer - H&M
Shop black blazers at Loft

For the weekend:

Outfit Details & Shopping Ideas

Denim jacket - Lucky Brand (Marshalls)
Gladiator sandals - Seychells (DSW)
Straw tote - Burlington
Cuff bracelets - vintage (Grandma's)

I thought styling it weekend casual would be the toughest, but I think I ended up liking that outfit best. What do you think?

Have you ever bought anything at the flea market?  We were there looking for antiques, but hey, you never know what you might find!

It has a pretty subtle gold shimmer to it that I love. Be sure to use this link to order and get free shipping!

Monika of Style is my Pudding is rocking this adorable flower adorned beret. Monika is always the epitome of funky chic!

Lauren of Punky Little DIYer never fails to make me smile and remember my Goth/Industrial/Punk days.  She worried if this outfit was a bit too Nightmare on Elm Street, but Freddy never looked this chic!

Time to party, Dolls!  Please link back. Don't forget to visit and comment on other linker uppers for a fun Friday love fest!

                                                                                                    ph. me

It's time for some April favorites:
1. Adidas Superstar 80s clean - a classic sneaker icon with a smooth leather upper and a leather shell toe, what's not to love!
2. Zara blouse - embroidery cotton top is always hippie chic.
3. Coccinelle bag - cute pochette in Saffiano leather, can be worn in many ways.
4. Zara jeans - despite the fact that it's not flattering model at all (unless you have longer legs than my height ;) ) these mid-rise straight long jeans are perfect match if you want to achieve that bohemian, hippie look. Paint spatters and rips are cherries on top!
5. H&M bracelets - cute for everyday.
6. B.U. my secret -for fresh spring mornings and reviving some teenage memories (check out their latest app here if you wanna win some cool things).
As a brand of individuality, excitement and self-expression B.U. empowers every girl with the sense of freedom and multiplicity according to her mood and desires. This fragrance was created for sexy, charming and intelligent young women who are characterized by trust and seductive nature and environment that will enchant you with its mystery. B.U. My Secret is a secret combination of fruity and floral notes which will let you be yourself!
7. Daniel Wellington watch - ideal to be paired with friendship bracelets, hello '70s!

It's overwhelming clear that the skinny jeans trend is eternal. And if you are crazy about the black version of them like I am, this is the right place for you. This time I paired it with white top, probably the most perfect leather jacket ever and my new favorite sneakers. Don't blame me, I'm a hoarder. ;)

Son parfum: "Jeanne" by lanvin
Ali porte un bomber Alpha, un jeans Cheap Monday et des Van's. Son parfum: "Eau
    sauvage" de Dior.

The Fab 40's: Jumpsuits!

This month's theme for The Fab 40's was ... JUMPSUITS!

But before we jump right in, I wanted to say a big thanks to everyone who expressed interest in joining our little group. We were so flattered and were tempted to open it up to everyone, but then we felt a bit overwhelmed at the organizing involved and decided to keep it small and manageable. I hope everyone understands.  We know there are so many great 40-something fashion blogs out there and we totally support all of you!  Hurrah for all of us who keep showing the world how totally FAB 40 can be!

Now let's jump into jumpsuits!
I haven't had a jumpsuit since high school, so shopping for one now was an adventure. I didn't want to spend too much on this trendy look so I hit up Fovever 21 and got this fun jumpsuit.  I ended up actually loving it. What do you think, Dolls?

It's strapless, but I doubt I'll actually wear it that way.  Well, maybe beachside!
I had planned to add one of my crochet cardigans for a totally boho look but it just ended up looking shapeless.  I thought this tailored cropped jacket looked more pulled together.

Outfit details & Shopping Ideas:

Jumpsuit - F21 (same)
Shoes - Michael Shannon
Blazer - H&M
Necklace - Kohls
Bag - Carlos Santana

Let's see what the other Fab 40's Fashionistas came up with this month ...

Ann of Kremb de la Kremb is also rocking a F21 jumpsuit!  Maybe we're not forever 21, but we ARE forever fab!

Sunnies: Target
Earrings: Topshop
Necklace: market in Rishikesh
Jumpsuit: Forever 21
Clutch: market in Boracay
Boots - Steve Madden

Jane of My Midlife Fashion looks so pretty in her black jumpsuit.  Great jacket too, Jane!

Jumpsuit - Wallis
Jacket - Mango
Necklace - bought in Majorca
Bracelets - Ashiana
Shoes - New Look

How totally chic is Dixie of Inside Outer Style in this denim jumpsuit with leopard accessories?!

Jumper: Zara

Shoes: Vince Camuto

Belt: Jcrew

Cutch: Thrifted

Necklace: Mango

Sunnies: Betsy Johnson

Sheela of Sheela Writes is having fun and looking adorable in what she calls her flying squirrel jumpsuit!

Jumpsuit - Indie label
Shoes - Wild Diva
Rings - Poshmark
Palm Cuff - Jenny Bird

Thanks for stopping by our little monthly celebration of being 40-something and fab!

Our kudos to all the ladies showing the world how fabulous each and every decade can be!
