The Fab 40s in Goth!

In the Halloween spirit, the Fab 40's decided to go for goth inspired looks this month.  Oh okay, "we" didn't decide ... it was my turn to pick and thrust this odd challenge upon us.  I'm a HUGE Halloween fan and a frustrated goth at heart (they kicked me out of the club back in the day for being far too cheerful and friendly!)

I've been admiring SALT on their Instagram account for quite awhile now.  I was thrilled when designer Sarah Borgeson contacted me about a collaboration!

Look at these gorgeous luxe unique pieces!

handmade jewelry in California

For almost twenty years, Sarah has drawn inspiration from the diverse worlds of art, architecture and nature to create her Santa Cruz, California-based jewelry line. A native Californian, Sarah creates her collections with an emphasis on versatility, color and texture to tell a story. As a sculptor with a formal education in sculpture and design from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Sarah’s interest lies in challenging common interpretations of color and materials to create work that is bold in its originality.

The one that got away

Skirt: ASOS. Shirt: Equipment. Sandals: Gianvito Rossi.
Denim Jacket: Loft. Bag: Chanel 'Boy' from Vestiaire Collective.

A black  'boy' bag with gold hardware has been on my wish list for a while. It's a classic colour combination and Chanel keep the demand high by not releasing the bag in this combination every season. When this combination is released you have to be quick! I missed out (again) when they re-released the bag last year but thanks to Vestiaire Collective I finally got my hands on one.

Vestiaire Collective is a pre owned luxury fashion site and they just started a matchmaking service to help you get your hands on any pieces that you may have missed out on. They want to unite you with your long lost fashion love! Simply visit VestiareCollective.com  and submit your wish to the #OneThatGotAway board and they'll try to match you up with other members looking to sell the item.

Balmain X H&M Preview

The full collection of the Balmain X H&M collection is out for our viewing!  What do you think? Are you excited?  Here are my favorites, including what's on my personal shopping list.

$99.

I really love this velvet burnout top for the holidays. I'm thinking of getting this and adding a red skirt for a fancy holiday party. What do you think?

$399

I certainly don't need to be adding a $400 motorcycle jacket to my wardrobe right now, but I do think this is a cool piece!

$399

Speaking of cool $400 pieces I don't really need ...

$17.99

Now here's a fun bargain!  Loving green this season too!

$129

I'm loving this ropy top beyond good sense. I can't imagine where or when I would wear it, but I do really love it!

Speaking of ropy ... have you ever wanted a really cool dress and thought "gee, I just wish it added some bulk to my hips"? .... Well, here you go!

$59.99

Very Balmain-y looking geometric cuff bracelet for an okay price.

TBD

Yep, you read that right ... these amazing booties have "To Be Determined" as a price. Is this a new marketing ploy?  No matter for fab they are, they aren't on my personal shopping list.  I don't do peep toe ... my short fat toes refuse to peep. Seriously. Have you ever heard of such a thing?

$59.99

For 60 bucks, this cool black and white color block sweater is on my shopping list. What do you think?

$59.99

I need another scarf like a hole in the head, but this is lovely.

$299

A stunning green suede bag, but at that price I'd need to be able to use it more often. I can't imagine fitting much it this!

$129

This sleek satin vest would make a chic topper for a holiday evening look.

$34.99

And last and most basic, the Balmain logo tee is a nice souvenir of the collaboration. Also comes in black. I'd like to snag one of these before they're $100 on ebay (just a guess)!

What do you think, Dolls?  Is anything grabbing your attention?  Check out the whole collection, including menswear, here.
Coming to a H&M near you Novemeber 5th.

Sock Game & Fun Fashion Friday Link Up Party!

Whenever I have cute socks peeking out from under my hem, my students say, "Ms. R's got sock game!"

So yeah, today's look has some sock game for sure ... and instead of shyly peeking out, these babies are showing off!  I've seen other bloggers do socks with booties and decided to give the trend a spin. What do you think?

SHOP THIS LOOK:

I'm sharing the looks from last week's linky that helped inspire this outfit ...

Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge gave me the inspiration for the cargo jacket and striped top.

And Anna of Happy Medley is rocking her booties with socks look.

Also the amazing Miss Monika of Style is my Pudding definitely has some sock game going on!

Link up, link back, visit & have fun, Dolls!  And as always, thanks for being part of Fun Fashion Friday!
