I met Gustavo outside his wonderful little vintage shop in Buenos Aires. After taking his photo he invited me into his shop full of handmade necklaces, antique dresses, and over the top costume items. Gustavo dresses with pizazz everyday often composing outfits from his treasure trove of vintage clothing and accessories. I think good photography is key to any personal style blog. The best outfits in the world don't mean anything if you don't have a good photographer to capture them. Usually my husband takes my pictures but this week we had our friend, Kevin Morosky from London staying with us and it only seemed right that we had him shoot a blog post. I rewarded him with donuts ;)

If you want to mix and match but not sure how to do it, start with a denim base and build around it. Pick something totally different than a piece you would regularly wear with your jeans. Throw on a black shoulder top, mini bag, a pair of light wash distressed jeans and you're set!
Should I mention how gorgeous is this black top with silky details? Totally in love!

The Fab 40's in Leopard!

This month's theme for the Fab 40's is leopard!  Who doesn't love leopard? It's the fashion trend that just keeps trending!

My personal favorite way to wear leopard is in my accessories. I love these leopard sneakers and I also have a leopard belts and scarves on regular rotation.  And last winter, I treated myself to a leopard print wool coat!  I'm forever keeping my eyes out for the perfect leopard bag too.

My latest leopard obsession is wearing it with white.

I was just about to put the finishing touches on my upcoming book, when I realized that it wouldn't be complete without a photo of Manuela. I wrote her back asking if she would allow me to take her picture if I came to visit. As soon as she replied yes I booked a ticket to Buenos Aires excited for our stylish adventures. Manuela was even more stunning and elegant in person and it was truly an honor to photograph her. I can't wait to share more from our shoot, including stories from her adventures with Dior in Paris in the 40s and 50s soon!
